This is another go at the Record Producing Month Challenge, since it was a ton of fun last time.
This time, I teamed up with Olivia and Daniel. We made a kick-ass LP, about space-traveling canine monks.
As per the rules, we started from scratch on February 1st, wrote, recorded and mixed everything before February 28th.

Empress' Cruiser
Take a look, with your weary eyes
To your home, your tomb, your land, yourselves
No memories of how it came to be
Pretending that there is an end in sight
It's the same shade of gray everywhere
And you long for the one in your nightmares
Your legs are as strong as never before
Carrying the weight of your decrepit mind
The lotus is watching over you
Provided your faith remains true
Brought you here
By the sheer
Power it holds
Everything's working as designed
Always on, always up, looking for a sign
A dot, a blip, a beat of a heart
Sustaining hope for salvation
Yet there's longing in your soul
To touch, to run, to hunt, to hold
Can't quite tell how you know it's true
But you feel the dormant temptations
The lotus is watching over you
Provided your faith remains true
Brought you here
By the sheer
Power it holds
She Is The Mountain
Defying elevation is a sin
No heretics amongst my kin
Four score and sixteen
The serpent does not wander the plains
The empress rides upon my ship
We shall ride along and worship, yeah
The cosmos belittles her
Yet our faith it can not deter
She is the mountain
Defying elevation is a sin
No heretics amongst my kin
Four score and sixteen
The serpent does not wander the plains
She is the mountain
Contagion
The Affliction brought terror and dread,
Turning our people into beasts, it spread.
The first infected, I remember well,
Their howls and growls, and the fear they'd compel.
Contagion
The wrath of the gods
Contagion
The scourge of tetrapods
I kept my distance, for fear of my life,
For they looked like monsters, filled me with strife.
Why should I help, when they're the cause,
Of this great affliction, this terrible loss?
Contagion
The wrath of the gods
Contagion
The scourge of tetrapods
The wrath of the gods
Farewell
The Affliction had crept in slow,
A shadow cast, a lingering woe.
The choice was made, a hard one for sure
To leave our home in search for a cure.
The Lotus, a gift for our quest,
On our ship, its roots firmly pressed.
We sing her, a prayer for grace,
She'll guide us through the endless space.
Benedictions arose from the crowd
for the frightened pack, standing proud
our minds ran wild, meeting the eyes
of our loves for an eternal goodbye
The Lotus with her knowing gaze,
Watched us file into the ship's embrace.
The engines' infernal glare,
Driven by the mission, and a prayer.
In space, weightless and free,
Enormous darkness envelops me.
But the stars, oh how they shine,
Guiding me through space and time.
Planets of red, green, blue, and gold,
A cosmic ballet, a story untold.
A universe alive, a game of chance,
In wonder at its beauty, in trance.
